About
From personal struggle to purpose-driven endurance — how LETSGO Louie began.
A Turning Point
“The moment you decide to change is where your real story begins.”
When my wife was pregnant with our first child, Franco, I gained weight for the first time in my life — climbing well past my usual 155 pounds. For a few years, I carried that weight, both physically and mentally. Then I made a decision that changed everything: I quit drinking, rediscovered sports, and found a new passion in running and triathlon.
Training at Ultimate Advantage with coaches Nick and Rick was where I truly learned the meaning of discipline. Surrounded by athletes — many younger, faster, and stronger — I had two choices: give up, or dig deeper. I chose to dig. Even when I was told I was “fat and old” (lol), I kept showing up, improving every day, and eventually began helping coach young athletes myself.

Setbacks & Comebacks
Like many athletes, my journey hasn’t been a straight line. I’ve faced setbacks, including a difficult mental year that led me back into bad habits and drinking more than I should have. But my wife, my running family, my strong-minded friends, and the sports of running and triathlon pulled me back.
Each mile became a form of therapy — rebuilding my mind, restoring my health, and reshaping my purpose. That process taught me that endurance is never just physical — it’s mental, emotional, and deeply personal.
Running for a Cause
The Allyson Whitney Foundation has played a huge role in my life. I’ve known Ally’s sister, Katy, for years, and when Ally passed away, I immediately got involved with their 5K — bringing every connection I could through Beer World, Luigi’s, the farmers market, Last Licks, and Liberty Tax.
My wife inspired me further when she set her sights on the Big Sur Marathon. We ran it together, dedicating the race to a friend we lost too soon to rare cancer — a race that fell on her birthday. COVID canceled the official event, but we ran it locally, surrounded by friends and neighbors cheering us on. That experience changed me forever. It sparked a lifelong love for marathons and endurance events that’s never faded.
Beyond
Athletics
Outside of racing, I’ve built my career as the CEO of Beer World and other companies. Leadership, for me, isn’t just about business — it’s about mentoring others and helping them reach their potential.
I’ve coached youth baseball and soccer, led community sports programs, and mentored kids who’ve gone on to compete at the state and college level. Watching others succeed has always been just as fulfilling as achieving my own goals.
Even small things — like designing my LETSGO Louie jerseys each year — give me extra motivation to keep pushing. They remind me that this journey is as much about identity and inspiration as it is about fitness.
Community & Growth
Years ago, I started the Beer World Run Team, a small group of friends running 5Ks around Lake Louise Marie. Over time, that group grew stronger. One of the runners, Diya Patel, went on to break school records, qualify for states, and earn a college scholarship.
When that group eventually phased out, I joined the Catskill Run Club, led by Steph, Bri, and Josh. What they built is special — a welcoming community where runners of all levels push one another toward greatness while having fun along the way. I’m proud to be part of it, helping the club grow and thrive.

Coaching & Certification
I’m proud to now be a USA Triathlon Certified Coach and Certified Race Director. At this point in my career, it’s not about chasing faster times — it’s about helping others cross their finish lines.
In 2025, I’ll guide a blind veteran in the NYC Marathon with Achilles International, one of the greatest honors of my athletic journey. My mission is simple: help athletes of all ages, speeds, and abilities achieve what they once thought was impossible.
